THR1VE Involvement

Scranton's first-generation students are among the most involved students in our campus community. Recognizing that many of our students have various occupational, co-curricular, and familial engagements outside of the classroom, we have created various ways for students to get involved with THR1VE.

Note that each opportunity detailed below reflects a different level of commitment.

THR1VE Student Coordinator (TSC) Positions

THR1VE Student Coordinators (TSCs) are student staff members who assist the THR1VE Program Coordinator in the planning and implementation of first-generation-specific programming on campus. Throughout the year, TSCs give presentations and relay information about the THR1VE Program, while advocating for first-generation student interests and completing activities related to first-generation student support.

THR1VE Events

The THR1VE Program co-sponsors several educational and celebratory programs each academic year. Educational programs are often peer-facilitated, highly interactive experiences designed to provide students with the information and skills that they report wanting during our annual needs assessment.

Current educational program topics include:

  • Financial Wellness
  • Academic Planning
  • Career Development

五月婷婷六月丁香综合 major celebratory event is the National First-Generation College Celebration, held annually in November.
